Jamie's House

I let go of Kath after the walk from school. I flopped down on my bed, and took out my iPod. Putting the earplugs in my, well, ears, I asked Kat,
"So, what do you wanna do tonight? I have no plans.. Travis and Alex are out on another date, I heard."

"No clue," i said "I still dont think they like me. Oh and i cant stay pass7, you know parents."
I lied about my parents, i couldnt let her know i was a run away

"Yeah.. parents are parents.."
I sighed. My mom worked 24/7 as a nurse's aide at a hospital, my dad a regular Werewolf. He only visited on weekends, when he was not with his pack.. My mom came late at night. She barely has time to say goodbye and pack lunch. I sighed and flipped through the TV in my room.
"Opera.. no. Sports.. no. News.. hey!"
I looked closely at the television screen. The newcaster said,
"..Rutdoc residents are afraid this might be an epedemic."
I looked at the bar on the bottom next to the logo. It said,
"Sightings of giant wolves increasing in Rutdoc, and in other small towns."
I gulped and turned to Kat.

NRR: wait, do we know that we are both werwolves?

NRR: Yep, I guess.

NRR: otay

I stared at the t.v.
"Imma eat those humans i swear," i almost growled "They act like we are a disease! We are stinkin just like them but are just closer to nature!" i wanted to rip something. Badly. I spotted the open window and bounded out.
"I'll be right back!" i called back to Jamie

"'Kay.."
I sighed and watched more of the TV. It seemed they were starting to allow hunting of wolves again.. I shuddered and turned it off. I couldn't take anymuch more of this..

"Im back!" i said as i just morphed back to human as i jumped back through the window. "Found a good chew stick near the fire pit"

"Nice. I'm glad it's deserted; lots of fish and driftwood. Anyway, we have to keep watch. Wolves are allowed to be hunted again... We should be careful.."
I thought of my dad, out there with his pack... not even knowing he was in danger.

"He's a big wolf," i tried to comfort "And i've been practicing mind reading, so i'll be able to tell if they want to shoot me." i pondered how long i would be able to stay here. . . without being discovered

"Y-Your right.. Dad'll be ok.."
I looked out at the sunset,the array of colors stretching over the horizon. I put my iPod aaway and started on my homework,
"It's nearing 7 pm. Shouldn't you get home soon?"

"Yeah i guess," i sighed "Tomorrow i have work, so i cant hang out as long, kay?"
I jumped back out the window and headed back to the beach.

"Seeya later..."
I watched as the sun dipped down into the sky, the world turning black. I slipped my pajamas on, pulled up my covers and went to sleep, earlier than usually.

NRR: morning!

I woke up at the crack of dawn. After getting dressed, combing my hair and brushing my teeth, I ran downstairs, ready to see more of the "Wolf Epidemic." I saw a note on the kitchen counter,
"Jamie,
Your father and I, right now, are hiding. We will be back in about a month. Please, abandon this house right after you get back to school, and move to the Grandstate Apartments. We bought a room for you already, Room 124. Take all your things with you. We need to keep you safe.. we love you, always.
Signed,
Mom and Dad"
I gasped. Quickly as possible, I hid the note in my backpack and sped off to school, locking everything in the house.

I packed all my important things, food, clothes, money. Carrying two large suitcases, I ran out the door, the house locked tight.
