Jenny's Department Store

One of the bigger clothing stores in Rutdoc.

I rushed in, hoping i wasn't late.
"Close one Kathrine," my boss, Jenny, said as i walked to sighn myself in.
"You know how school is," i said, refering to her being in collage.
"Yes i do," she said with a smirk, "Business is slow today. So if no one comes by 5 or 6, you can close up yourself." She grabbed a jacket and headed out the door. I quickly intruded into her thoughts, just messing around.
She's a good kid. she thought Next for her will be assistant manager
I squeeled to myself and took my seat behind the cash register. I read a book for about an hour when someone came in finally. I looked up to see Lia and her cronies browsing the pink tank tops. I hid my face behind the book again, and waited for them to discover me. They came up to the register with about 5 items each. . . Most in pink.
"Excuse me Miss. We need to get these and scram," she said handing me her dadd'y credit card. I finally put the book down and scanned everything. I could tell they were a bit surprised but they tried to hide it. I scanned the credit card. $150.67. I couldnt believe it. I handed them their bags.
"Ba bye kitty!" she cried out as she left.
"At least they didn't give me much trouble for once," i mumbled to myself. I got caught up in my book again until when Jenny came back.
"You could have left an hour ago you know," she said.
"You never know when some one is in need of clothes," i laughed.
"So true," she replied, "Here's your paychech for today" She handed me a small wad of money. I checked it and looked up at her.
"This is more than i earned"
"Its ok, go get yourself pretty, you deserve it," she smiled at me as i left.

I rushed in, knowing i was late. I knew Max would come and visit me like he always does.
"Im SO sorry Jen!" i gushed a bit for once, i hated being late.
"Woah! No problem Kathrine! Some one came in to cover part of your shift until you came back." she stood aside for me to see Max wearing a yellow unifrom vest, smiling at me. "He's a cutie!" she whispered before letting me walk over to him.
"Max!" i almost yelled, hugging him. "Ive missed you so much! Even if its only been a few days!" I almost cried right then and there.
"Kat," he almost whispered, hugging me back.
"Max, its time you know me better" was all i said before bringing him to the room in the back.
Then i did something that almost got me killed the first time, but i knew what i was doing now.
I transformed infront of my best friend.
I looked up at his surprised face with my best puppy dog eyes. But surprise swept across my face when he grinned and transformed himself.
"I think this is a sighn" he barked, his silverand black pelt glistening in the artificial light.
"Of what?" i asked. He was a handsome wolf.
"That i love you," he said it lovingly, transforming human as i did. I just stared at him, i could swear you could have seen my heart pumping out of my chest. He kissed me on my forhead, not having to reach or duck.

"Your Frostfire" he laughed suddenly.
"Yeah?" i looked up at him. He laughed again.
"I just got cleared of my charges" i almost laughed with him.
"Good. So i dont have to get in trouble." he said sweetly.
"I want you to meat Jamie and Balot. For real, not just hi" i stared at him, determended.
"OKay" he smiled as i led him out of the store, going to the apartments.
